Learning to swim is a great achievement, and a skill that will last a lifetime. Finding a suitable Swim School in and around our lovely area however, hasn’t always felt like an easy task, so we’re delighted to be bringing you news of the new Swimming Nature classes at The Laboratory Spa and their newly revamped pool in Creighton Avenue.
Swimming Nature has been teaching babies, children and adults to swim for over twenty years, and pride themselves on being experts at in-water personalised swimming tuition. Unlike more traditional swimming lesson providers, they teach purely on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis to maximise tuition time in the water. The science behind their method means a cognitive approach to teaching, leading to fast learning and development in the four strokes. Their baby swimming lessons are a great way to enjoy an activity and start-up for a healthy lifestyle, help babies relax and sleep better. New sessions have been released for most weekday mornings.
One of the most impressive and unique aspects of Swimming Nature is that many of their highly qualified instructors are former national and international competitive swimmers. They all teach using the Swimming Nature method – working in the water with their students to inspire and accelerate their journey to being fitter, faster and more efficient swimmers. Their aim is for their students to ‘create a lifetime relationship with water’.
As part of their unique teaching method, Swimming Nature will progress your child through seven different animal levels that is represented by a colourful animal character – from Frog to Swordfish.
The latest technology is used to track the progress of all students, both children and adults, using a specially created mobile data system. The instructors measure improvement and record achievements, so that parents can easily track their child’s progress from home!
