Rugbytots’ dynamic weekly play sessions enable boys and girls aged 2-7 to develop their social and physical skills in a fun, positive environment.

The fun, structured play sessions take children on a journey of sporting imagination with engaging and energetic coaches supporting them every step of the way whilst teaching them how to catch, pass, kick, run with the ball and play as part of a team.

All lessons follow a clear structure which consists of a warm up, catching and passing, games, relay/obstacle course/kicking and end of session games.

Not only will classes improve your child’s physical fitness, hand eye co-ordination, balance and agility, they also provide a variety of psychological benefits that include structure, enables positive emotions, promotes bonding, boosts self-confidence and esteem and encourages social skills through team work.

The youngest age group 2-3.5 year olds, learn about rugby and practice scoring trys in games that use colours, shapes and numbers and counting. Tots practice kicking over mini rugby posts and have Rugbytots completing their ever changing obstacle courses. The younger class lasts for 30 minutes, where children are developing and working on skills each week whilst most importantly having fun and making friends. This class involves parent participation and the use of foam rugby balls to prepare Rugbytots for their passing and kicking games.

The next age group is the 3.5-5 year olds – fun and exciting lessons great for the super energetic 3.5-5 year olds. This very dynamic 45 minute session is jam packed with rugby specific skills, to develop their social and physical skills in a fun and positive environment. Your rugbytot will learn about finding space, running with the ball, looking after the ball and scoring trys whilst developing your balancing and agility skills and hand eye co-ordination.

The 5-7 year olds’ programme focuses on lots of fun and encouragement, whilst enhancing confidence and self-esteem. The classes follow the same structure as the others, but the kids will be introduced to more independent play as well as more advanced games and Rugby skills. Aim to build the foundation for your child’s life post Rugbytots, the classes gently start to introduce the rules and the game of tag rugby.
