What is Flamethrowers & Dreamcatchers?
Flamethrowers & Dreamcatchers (FTDC) is an after-school fantasy roleplaying game for kids aged 8-13 that develops key cognitive skills, fosters pro-social behaviour and encourages mental wellbeing – all the while supporting keystage2 curriculum and being wildly exciting for the players.

How it works
Players create heroic characters and utilise their abilities in weekly episodic stories that contain puzzles, encounters and adventure that challenge their minds and raise their spirits.
FTDC run in-person sessions but with the success of the online sessions last lockdown FTDC are once more using the award winning online platform Roll20 to recreate the fun and excitement of FTDC from the comfort of our homes.
Just like in-person sessions, adventurers can see, hear and collaborate towards their shared goal, keeping up the social fun and educational play aspects that make FTDC what it is.

“I have two FTDC intrepid adventurers – during the previous lockdown, they both played online and found the digital platform to be engaging and pretty easy to navigate. They didn’t feel distanced from the other players and I can attest to the fact that there was the same level of noise and energy than if they had been playing in person! It’s obviously lovely to have the option of playing face-to-face in a group but the online format is just as satisfying and my two certainly look forward to their sessions, wherever the location!”
